What is Argentium Sterling Silver?
You may see throughout my jewelry descriptions that I use primarily Argentium Sterling silver (versus simply Sterling Silver). Argentium Sterling silver contains germanium rather than copper as its strengthening alloy. This makes the silver highly resistant to firescale and tarnish. It requires nothing more than light dusting or an occasional wipe with a soft cloth to keep its lasting shine. The "Sterling" designation means that the metal is 92.5% pure silver, with the remaining percentage of alloy. Argentium silver is new and costs slightly more than standard Sterling silver but the tarnish resistance is well worth it.  Also, don't forget, precious metal jewelry is a good investment...
